I can't attest to the longevity of the mop just yet, but I am happy with the initial quality. I had a Bissell steam mop that quit working when I put vinegar in the water tank (because it left tons of water on the floor and I had hoped that it would help it to dry faster), which btw is a very bad idea... The Bissell was a gift, and I was pretty happy with it, but this mop is so much nicer! It cleans the floor well, except for really stuck on stuff (which I guess was a plus to the extra wetness of the Bissell). The floor dries almost instantly and looks great! The mop is really light, and it's super easy to put the fabric pad on the mop (the Bissell pad was quite a pain b/c it required an elastic draw string to be pulled tight). I'll update if there are any problems that arise, but for now I'm extremely happy with this product.

Oh, do I love my steam mop! It's so easy, so quick, and so thorough to clean my tile floors! Lightweight and easily maneuverable in tight corners, it's the answer I've been looking for. I do not have hardwood floors, so can't rate its performance on those.

Love it for cleaning my hardwood floors and tile, but only lived 6 months, with infrequent use (twice a month). Very sad when it broke! Cleaned great, no chemicals, light weight. Wish the reservoir was larger and the cord was longer.

This mop works great for small areas. I have a small bathroom and a small kitchen. I can clean and santitize both areas in 10 minutes. I love it.

RIP Shark :( I owned this product for 12 months and 2 days when it died. Just out of warranty. I'd buy another on sale - the monthly cost averaged over a year is lower than a mop head replacement and this product works much better than a mop.

We have allergies, so most of our floors are hard covered. I have tried the scooba, which works well but only does one room at a time, and requires a bit of set up. This product is a third of the price of scooba, and works amazingly well. I suggest vacuuming first, since you do not rinse the mop head and dont want to risk scratching your floor with sandy residue. Then simply fill the mop with water, wait 30 seconds and you're ready to go. I was impressed by the way the mop cleaned, evident by the dirt on the pad! We have one old original wood floor in our bedroom and was a bit leery of trying it on the wood, but seriously, when my husband got home, he asked me what I did to make the floor look so nice! It steamed away stains we were not able to get out with any other method. I love not having to use chemicals on the floors in order to clean them. This mop comes with 5 machine washable pads, so you will not need to buy replacements for a long time, although when you do, you will note that they are expensive! It also comes with a glider for carpets, so you can steam and refresh them. It is a bit awkward to use it, but does the job..

Pros: makes steam and does an good job picking up dried spills on hard surfaces. Does a great job pulling up dust and surface stains from smooth stone. Better then water and brushes have. Cons: Usability is terrible. You have to keep pumping the handle to make the steam while you push it. The steam produced from just pushing forward and back it is not very much. The cord is stiff and tends to get stuck to corners and chair legs. It doesn't stand on it's own and will crash to floor without first finding a place to securely lean it if you need let go to move something. The water tank needs refilling every 10 minutes and requires a bucket and funnel which are not attached anywhere, hope I don't lose them. I tried it on the carpet with the slider, another separate piece with no place to store it on the unit. It made the carpet damp but since the mop head is not in contact with the carpet, I'm not sure what the point was. Nice idea, no chemicals or dirty water, but only so-so steam and a lot of hassle. I paid $49 bucks on BF and still don't think it's was worth the price..
